Pirate's Treasure Hunt

Shiver me timbers, it was a somewhat damp and murky Sunday morning in March when the crews of around a dozen galleons - sorry, cars assembled at the De La Warr Pavilion to receive their instructions and clues from Chris and Heidi before heading off to the four corners of East Sussex in search of booty before weighing anchor at the final destination port of Eastbourne.

Upon arrival at Treasure Island Pleasure Park on Eastbourne seafront (where else?), we headed to a cafe for breakfast, only to be to told that no seating had been set aside for us, despite a booking having been made. Heidi gave the manager no quarter before we left and headed east en masse to the 4 Seasons Brasserie at Sovereign Harbour, where we were made most welcome.

After breakfast and before heading home, the winners of the treasure hunt were declared to be Neal and Loraine McKay; well done to both of you - enjoy your treasure chest!

Many thanks to Chris and Heidi for arranging a really enjoyable event.
