Chalk Run

The Chalk Run was suggested by Charlie Rowland, it being an event he had done some years ago, and which is a simple but fun idea, the premise being that cars park up at a designated point, whereupon a vertical chalk line is drawn on the tyre of each car taking part from the rim to the outer edge.

The cars then set out on a designated circular route which returns to the starting point. The winner is the car whose chalk line is nearest to the vertical position as it was at the starting point.

Club members met at Wainwright Road car park, and it was nice to see some new faces including one of our youngest members, Ryan Hollebon. The cars set off on a route through Ninfield and Pevensey, and afterwards returning to where we started.

The winner was to be the one whose chalk line was nearest to vertical when parked back at Wainwright Road - well done to Phil and Carol Hart!

Afterwards, we retired to the Old Bathing Station on the seafront for refreshments to round off the evening.
